My First Mac

For a long time I've been a PC girl. I love my PC. It's kept me connected to friends and family for many long, wonderful years. I taught myself about Photoshop on my PC. I've written all of my A papers on my PC.

When I fell in love with advertising, and seriously started looking into what major I wanted to go for, I realized that it would be beneficial for me to get a Mac. Now, even though I grew up as a PC girl, I never had anything against Mac computers. A lot of my friends are either 100% PC people or 100% Mac people; and they hate the opposite computer.

Being a broke college student, I waited until I got some financial aid in from school and decided that I needed a Mac laptop. I checked the Special Deals page of the Apple website and found a laptop for under $900... And then realized that a lot had changed since the last time that I worked on a Mac.

Since I'm a complete Google-Nerd, I began searching for websites to help me through my transitional phase, and came up with My First Mac. It has links on there for everything; buying a Mac, switching from PC to Mac, tutorials. You name it, they've got it - and if they don't, they have forums where you can ask for help.

Stay tuned for more,
Elle
